APPROACH.
INVESTMENT
Narrate’s investment thesis is intentionally structured around creating value, producing strong stabilized cash flows, and operated under a well-defined ownership strategy. We focus on often under-performing workforce housing properties in select major metropolitan markets with strong fundamentals.
Development
Our passion is creating thoughtfully designed urban-infill projects that add to the fabric of their neighborhoods while paying close attention to design both inside and out. We seek irreplaceable locations with high demand generators in place and specialize in projects that are boutique in nature, typically running in size from 75-150 units.
Meet the CREATORS.
Adam, Principal and Founder, leads all strategic direction and growth initiatives for Narrate. Adam brings 16 years of experience in direct equity real estate investment and development, having developed over 1,500 units, valued at nearly $900 million. Raised in Iowa, Adam started his career at Principal Real Estate Investors on the Private Equity Investment Management team.
Shortly after arriving in Denver in early 2011, Adam joined Holland Partner Group as a Development Manager where he was fortunate enough to work on some of Denver’s most iconic projects - Platform at Union Station and Union Denver. While at Holland, Adam was responsible for the development of over 1,200 units throughout the Denver MSA. Following over four years at Holland, Adam moved to BMC Investments as Senior Vice President of Development, where he focused on development in Denver’s Cherry Creek North Neighborhood.
ADAM FENTON.
Zack, Managing Partner, focuses on business development, real estate syndications, and leading the new venture pipeline. Zack founded DRGINVEST Holdings LLC (“DRGINVEST”), a diversified holding company in 2008. DRGINVEST, formerly Denver Realty Group (“DRG”) was originally built around an all-service real estate company that offered broker services, property management and investment platforms. In 2018, DRGINVEST, restructured into a Holding Company as the company expanded to business acquisitions and pursued start-up ventures. Zack has transacted over $1 Billion in real estate and has acquired, invested, and started over 50 companies to date. In 2023, DRGINVEST, sold and merged, many of the verticals to pursue new ventures outside the umbrella company. In the same year, Zack, Co-Founded Narrate Holdings and Narrate Ventures, two Private Equity companies. Narrate Holdings focuses on Real Estate Development and Acquisitions while Narrate Ventures focuses on non-real estate investments in select industries. Narrates Vision remains opportunistic and invests in proven operators and quality companies with upside.
Zack graduated from the University of Denver with a Real Estate and Marketing degree. He enjoys networking, traveling, and building companies. Outside of work, Zack enjoys skiing, golfing, and staying active.
ZACK KOBILCA.
Tanner, Associate Vice President, is responsible for analyzing potential development opportunities, site acquisition, managing construction draws, preparing all reporting and communication with investors, and daily oversight of asset management operations. Since starting with Narrate in 2020, Tanner has assisted the team in acquiring real estate assets totaling $50M and working through a development pipeline of over $400M. Prior to Narrate, Tanner spent eight years in the United States Army, as a Communications Sergeant, where he oversaw communication and security operations ranging from the United States to Afghanistan. Initially raised in Pennsylvania, he graduated with a degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Denver.
TANNER SCHOLVIN.
Michal, Associate Vice President, plays a key role in growing the investment platform at Narrate. In addition to facilitating all acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects, he oversees investor relations and fund performance. Michal began his professional career with Pepper Pike Capital Partners, a Cleveland-based private equity firm that invests in heavy value-add multifamily deals. In his capacity as a Senior PE Analyst, he was involved in all transactional oversight activities related to the firm’s portfolio, including acquisitions, dispositions, capital markets, investor relations, and asset management. Michal spearheaded the acquisition and disposition of 5.7K apartment homes at the firm ($760MM Capitalization).
Michal also brings forward experience with several other asset classes including retail, industrial, and mixed-use condo development having worked at The Mid-America Management Corporation, and Arcadia Development as an Investment Associate. In addition to managing debt capital markets, he facilitated helping secure state tax credits, grant funding, and seller financing for projects. In 2022, Michal embarked on a new chapter by relocating to Denver to help lead the investment vertical at DRGinvest in acquiring workforce housing and affordable multifamily deals. Michal graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2019, with a BS in Finance and Business Management.
MICHAL JASTRZEBSKI.
Harrison, Associate Vice President of Capital Markets, leads the capital raising initiatives for Narrate. He brings a decade of proven excellence as a top sales producer, leader and growth consultant in the luxury real estate, private equity, and venture sectors.
Harrison takes great pride in his ability to forge authentic, lasting relationships and approaches each client engagement with positive energy and a hospitality mindset. He is thrilled to share the dynamic investment opportunities crafted by the Narrate team in Colorado and throughout the West.
Harrison graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University with degrees in Finance and Marketing. He splits time between Denver and Southern California. In his free time, he enjoys supporting children’s charities, travel, spearfishing, and a Napa Cab.
HARRISON STADNIK.
Chase Kobilca, VP of Acquisitions and Asset Management, focuses on facilitating new deal flow through broker and investor relationships, as well as establishing private equity partner relations. While keeping the acquisition pipeline full internally, Chase also seeks JV and Co-GP opportunities with select partners. Additional responsibilities include overseeing and positioning current assets under management to operate more efficiently through strategic planning. Chase has overseen over $100 million in projects and asset transactions.
Chase Kobilca has been a licensed broker for over six years. Working at several firms prior to joining Narrate in 2024, Chase specialized in multifamily investments, particularly in Colorado Springs and the Denver Metro. Chase started his real estate career with Coldwell Banker and later joined Marcus & Millichap in the Oakbrook, Illinois office where he specialized in Triple Net Industrial Sales across the United States. In 2021, Chase moved to Denver and joined DRGinvest/Capital Property Group, and later NorthPeak Commercial Advisors.
Outside of work Chase enjoys playing golf, skiing, camping, weightlifting, and playing guitar.
CHASE KOBILCA.
In practice since 2018, Ryan has broad experience in business law, including real estate law, small and medium sized business law, exempted security offerings, and general contract law. Ryan earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa and spent his last semester as a Visiting Student at the University of Denver. Ryan served as in-house counsel at multi-state company before starting his solo practice, RW Law.
RYAN WIMPEE.
Matthew brings a unique skill set and experience to the Narrate team that helps drive project success. Assisting in asset management functions and operating as an investor liaison, Matthew has helped enhance fund communication, transparency, and organization.
Since joining Narrate as an Investment Fund Associate, Matthew has aided in supporting the private equity and real estate verticals. Utilizing his wide breadth of experience, Matthew is dedicated to empowering all stakeholders with a bespoke approach that emphasizes timeliness and accuracy.
Matthew takes pride in adapting and learning in dynamic environments and delivering on a high level. His dedication to excellence and commitment to delivering superior results, has made Matthew an integral part of the team.
MATTHEW AHASAY.
Ireland brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to the Narrate team as an Executive Assistant / Office Manager. Since joining in early 2024, she has played an integral role in supporting the real estate and ventures team make positive strides in completing current development projects and business acquisitions. With a natural knack for connecting with others, coupled with a growth mindset and extensive office management experience, Ireland excels at forging strong relationships and optimizing workplace operations.
In her role, Ireland spearheads the coordination of a diverse array of services and resources critical to the organization's efficient functioning. Her adeptness at managing multiple priorities simultaneously, while ensuring team cohesion, has significantly enhanced productivity and morale across various companies.
Originally hailing from Lawrence, Kansas, Ireland made the move to Denver in 2019, drawn by the allure of the mountains and a desire to deepen her understanding of entrepreneurship. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in exploring new destinations, embarking on hiking adventures, practicing yoga, and immersing herself in the arts. Ireland's passion for streamlining processes and fostering team collaboration renders her an invaluable asset to Narrate. Her dedication to excellence and her unwavering commitment to achieving organizational goals make her an invaluable member of the team.
